POLYMER COMPOSITE FIBER-BASED TRIBOELECTRIC MATERIAL FOR FABRICATING IMPROVED TRIBOELECTRIC-NANOGENERATOR AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
ABSTRACT:
A polymer composite fiber-based triboelectric material for fabricating improved triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) is provided. The polymer composite fiber-based triboelectric material includes (i) 90 to 99.9% weight by weight (w/w) of a polymer material (polyvinylidene fluoride); and (ii) 0.1 to 10% w/w of a metal oxide nanoparticle that includes at least one of a first nanoparticle (copper oxide), a second nanoparticle (nickel oxide), or a third nanoparticle (nickel-doped copper oxide). The metal oxide nanoparticle is doped into the polymer material using an electrospinning technique to enhance the orientation of β-phase in polymer material, thereby obtaining the polymer composite fiber-based triboelectric material with enhanced β-phase orientation. The polymer composite fiber-based triboelectric material with enhanced β-phase orientation is used as a tribonegative material for fabricating flexible TENG. The TENG that is fabricated with the polymer composite fiber-based triboelectric material has improved triboelectric properties and higher stability.
