Abstract:

A device for sealing, shaping and an automating a process of making one or more sanitary pads is provided. The device includes a link system (101), a composite layer and a core layer (102), a linear guider (104), a linear slider (106), a frame (108), a set of grippers (110A-B), a sealing unit (112), a cutting module (114), a pneumatic cylinder (116), a set of idler rollers (119A-B), a loop adjusting mechanism (120), and a pad puller unit (122). When the link system (101) is moved in the left side direction, (i) the thermal bonding is provided between the composite layer and the core layer (102) using the sealing unit (112) when the limit switch (124) is triggered, (ii) the composite layer and the core layer (102) is cut by rolling the cutting roller (117) over the cutting die (118) to obtain the sanitary napkin when the limit switch (124) is triggered, and (iii) the sanitary napkin is pulled by the pad puller unit (122) from the cutting die (118).
